About This Site
Recent Setback and Request for Support
Update: The ability to submit reports and community posts has been restored, and we have also recovered all of the community posts. We are still experiencing issues that we are working hard to fix to make sure the site is fully functional as intended. If you experience any issues yourself, or if you have any other suggestions or comments, please reach out to the site email, [email protected]. For anyone who has sent an email recently and has not gotten a reply yet, please be patient; this is a volunteer project, and the people working on and maintaining this site all have other responsibilities as well. Thank you to everyone who has supported the site, and thank you to everyone who has been patient with the admin and moderators of the site. We are committed to keeping this site functional and useful.
Unfortunately, the site's database provider deleted the site's data and account without warning. Fortunately, I prioritized keeping a backup list of the reports, and as you can see, the reports are still available on the site. However, as the administrator and developer of this project, I failed to treat the backup of the community stories with the same urgency. I take responsibility for that mistake, and I sincerely ask forgiveness from anyone who took the time to share a story, offer advice to others, or post messages of hope and empowerment.
The community page felt like the heart of the site, and it is painful that so much anonymous expression from people who have experienced abuse may now be lost. If you have screenshots, saved text, cached pages, or any other record of the community stories page or its content, please reach out to the site email, [email protected], and let me know. Even if you only have a screenshot of a few stories, we may be able to add those back.
I will work to restore the report submission and story submission features, but until then, they are unfortunately down while I find a new data service for the site.
Lastly, I want to remind anyone who may not know that I am caring for a newborn with my fiancée while also handling other responsibilities to provide for us as a family. We are getting by, but barely. I am requesting any financial support you are able to offer for this project and my family so I can devote more time and resources to restoring and maintaining the site.

What this is
This is a community-driven, open-source awareness tool. It is not a place to make legal accusations. It is simply a place for people to say: 'This person raised concerns for me in these specific ways.'
Why "Name Him?"
Nothing stops people from adding the names of their abusers of any gender. But this site is called NameHim on purpose.
Over 98% of violent crimes are committed by men. The vast majority of sexual assaults, harassment, and other forms of abuse are perpetrated by men. This is not about blaming every man; it's about naming a real, measurable, patriarchal problem in our society.
Calling it out is the first step. The name NameHim is intentional: it points to the pattern, not the exception. It is a tool for awareness, not a weapon against any gender.
Anyone is free to add abusers of any gender to this site. But the name stays. Because until we face who is doing most of the harm, we can't begin to fix it.
How to use this information
Everything on this site is user-generated and unverified. We do not investigate, confirm, or endorse any claim. If you come across a name here, treat it as a starting point; someone to watch out for, to do your own further investigation on if you ever meet them. It is not about demonizing anyone or saying they are damned forever. It is just a signal: be aware, and check for yourself.
Legal & safety notice
This site does not replace law enforcement, courts, or professional advice. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number). For serious accusations, go to the police, not just this website.
Open source & transparency
This entire project is open source. You can read every line of code, suggest improvements, or report issues at our GitHub repository: https://github.com/namehim/namehim
If you want to fork this project or run your own version, you can download the live, moderated dataset at: https://api.namehim.app/filtered-reports. The data is updated every 30 seconds and excludes any entries removed by moderation (trolls, fakes, or successful appeals).
Privacy & data collection
We collect almost nothing. Your privacy is central to how NameHim works.
- No accounts, no emails, no passwords. You never sign up or log in.
- No IP addresses are stored. We never record your IP address in the database, logs, or anywhere else. (A temporary IP check is used only for rate limiting – it is never saved and expires within 60 seconds.)
- No cookies are used for tracking. We only store a random, anonymous ID in your browser's local storage to enforce rate limits (max 3 reports per hour). This ID is not linked to any personal information and cannot be used to identify you.
- What you see in browser dev tools is the same data that is displayed on the page: the name and location of the accused, the category of concern, and a timestamp. There is no hidden data that can re‑identify submitters.
- The `submitter_uuid` field that appears in the raw API response is a random, one‑time identifier. It cannot be linked to your real identity or IP address. It is only used to prevent spam (3 submissions per hour). You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.
In short: we don't know who you are, and we don't want to. Your safety and anonymity are the whole point.
Removal Requests
If you believe a report about you should be removed, please read our Removal Process. To request removal, email [email protected] with the required details.
If your own report has been removed and you disagree, you may resubmit it or email us with additional evidence.
Build your own
I encourage anyone who cares about this to make their own site. Fork this code, improve it, run it your own way. If anything ever happens to this site, the work can continue in the hands of anyone who wants to carry it forward. This should never be controlled by one person.
Why this exists
The original site (that someone else made) went down within days. People still need a space to share concerns anonymously, responsibly, without fear. This is my attempt to keep that door open. I'll improve it over time. Suggestions are welcome.
Financial Transparency and Optional Support
Hello, I built this open source project as a single developer and have paid for the hosting and maintaining of the site and database it displays with user donations. I've put many hours into developing, maintaining, and moderating it and me and the moderating team are keeping up with it daily. On a personal note, my fiance and I are raising our newborn son and we are already using credit to maintain our bills and our rental.
If you want to support our family and the volunteer moderators by helping with a tip or donation, it is greatly appreciated.

Admin Log
May 18, 2026: Update: Our baby has arrived. Thank you to everyone who has supported us during the pregnancy, and while we are still struggling with transportation and bills, your support helped us keep this project online while welcoming our child.
May 6, 2026: Update: Still waiting on our son to arrive and our car is still not in service but we are getting by one day at a time. I added two moderators to help get rid of the spam and retaliation reports and I them 20% each of any tips or donations that come in now, so thank you from the three of us anyone who chooses to support.
6:30 a.m. May 6, 2026 (PDT): Hello everyone, we now have two more moderators on the team, and both of them and I are working hard every day to take down spam and false retaliation reports on the site. I've also agreed to share 40% of any tips or donations that come in to the site with these moderators, so thank you to everyone who's helped out so far. All three of us are working very hard to make this site functional and useful. Also, I just wanted to remind everybody that even if there is spam temporarily, it does not take away from the actual names that are up here, and our database is searchable by name, city, state, or country.
2:20 p.m. May 2, 2026 (PDT): Hello everyone, thank you to everyone who has supported the site so far. From the bottom of my heart, my family and I appreciate you. The support I've received so far has covered the costs of hosting and storing the database that I spent initially on the project. I've been putting a lot of time in every day to improve the site's functionality and add more user-friendly features. For instance, one thing I've done is update the Community tab so you can now select a category for your story, and you can choose Survivor Story if it might contain content that could trigger others. That way, people can decide whether they want to read those stories or stick with other categories like empowerment and hope. I've also added a resources page that provides information for almost every country so far, including emergency numbers and hotlines if you're in the middle of a crisis or an unsafe situation. Thank you again, everyone. I will continue putting my time into maintaining and updating the site so it remains a functional space and tool for survivors like myself. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. And thank you so much to the person who created and submitted the user poster below. I am still dedicating a lot of time to this site and our family still does not have a car anymore so support is still appreciated and helpful.
2:00 a.m. April 27, 2026 (PDT): The site suffered a very intelligent malicious attack, but after many hours of problem solving and updating the site and the database, it has been fixed and should stop this from happening in the future. In this process, there may have been an accidental deletion of some entries, so if you submitted your entry around the time the site had between 18,000 and 21,000 reports, please check if your submission is still there. If it is not, feel free to submit again.
